Have a look at our new cards added today with Father's Day in mind, but, as all the cards are blank inside, you could use them for many other occasions, such as birthdays, thank you - or any other message you would like to write.
The original drawings were made with ink and brush, and oil pastels.
These cards come in packs of 4, so you can use them for several occasions.
Work in Progress - for Christmas! May 16, 2013 11:46
Here are some previews of work in progress for Christmas themed lino prints and cards. It's so cold here at the moment it feels like Christmas won't be long!
Experimenting with purple and green at the moment - though think I will do a traditional red and green version too.
What do you think - purple and green or red and green?

Colour Reduction Lino Print Process February 8, 2013 12:59
Colour reduction lino print process: how is it done? Well, first of all you draw your image on to the lino tile and then cut away the first lines, which if you're printing on white paper, will be white!
My first colour for this print was yellow, so now I have several yellow and white prints.
Using the same lino tile, I then cut away any areas I want to remain yellow, because I'm going to ink up the tile in another colour, this time green and print over the top of the yellow prints.
I've now got lots of yellow and green lino prints. But I need blue on the image - for the blue tit obviously - so I now wash the lino and cut away all the areas I want to remain green. There's not much of the lino tile left by now! I then ink up the tile with blue and print on top of the yellow and green prints. It's quite a long process, because I have to make sure the ink is dry in between colours and sometimes that can take several days!
Et voila !
All I have to do now is sign and number them!

Ring Necked Parakeets January 13, 2013 12:26 2 Comments
Here are my neighbours. They're a lovely couple who come by once a week or so for some peanuts and a chat, except I can hardly get a word in! They do most of the talking: if they're not bickering with each other they're cooing to each other! They sound like little puppies whimpering! Found out they don't really like being photographed though.

Look on the lino print page for more details. Two and three colour reduction prints will be ready soon, along with greeting cards with this design. Watch this space.
Just Hanging Out ... August 10, 2012 13:19

There are some three colour reduction ones of the long tails coming soon, which - when they're dry! - will be ready for creating new greeting cards.
Flower Stall Cards July 13, 2012 15:15

Hmm... Friday the 13th - what could possibly go wrong?
Work in Progress: Long Tail in London Plane Tree July 5, 2012 11:13
Here's a sneaky preview of a new design coming soon.
You can see the lino block on the safety bench hook (yes, that's lino - the same as you may have on your kitchen floor!). You can also see the print taken from the block is in reverse - a bit tricky if you're doing letters or numbers.
And that round thing is a seed from a London plane tree - really prickly. And that's a long tail tit sitting in the tree: the next colour to be printed will be black, so that will be a three colour reduction lino print.
